This ground fault detection ISOLTEST medical series has been designed for operating theatres to continuously monitor the earth resistance of insulation, for systems connected to 1-Ph and 3-Ph networks up to 500 V with neutral isolation from earth downstream of the isolation transforme
When the insulation resistance drops below a specified value (expressed in kohm), the ground fault detection ISOLTEST Medical Series is triggered by an audible signal and an optical indicator. Calibration is carried out by a potentiometer on the front of the unit, allowing control from 50 kohm to 150 kohm; a green LED (NORMAL) indicates the isolation status, a red LED (ALARM) indicates the failure status. There are also two TEST and RESET buttons.
Remote optical and acoustic indicators can be connected to the rear unit along with the usual check buttons for testing and resetting.
